What's happening with Pinochan?So I guess, from some emails and postings on kareha, that a little clarification is in order... first of all, Pinochan was never really intended to be a "proper" site, not one to be developed to the point of, say, financial self-sufficiency. It's a hobby, that's it, not the heart and soul of my online existence. I'm sorry if I ever gave anyone a different impression. But then, few sites are meant to last indefinitely. Don't reach for the tissues yet though, this isn't a farewell speech!
Anyway... hmm, well, the first major project that put Pinochan on the intarwebz map (so to speak) was the Rozen Maiden archive, and while new stuff is still being produced, the archive is badly in need of a third season to sufficiently revitalise interest.
As interest in RM dipped, the Overbooru took over as the dominant project. I have had other ideas for new projects, as well as the development of current projects, but every time I have the time to spare something seems to come along to take that time away... which brings me to my next point! :P
No, Pinochan isn't abandoned. But it is what you might call "in stasis". I simply don't have the time to dedicate to it right now thanks to LOL IRL stuff, mostly university related. And since I'm the only "full time" staff member, that pretty much means the site gets to hang in limbo for now. Once summer arrives and I graduate, I'll have a lot more free time. But for now, Pinochan will have to remain in its sadly neglected state. :/ My apologies.
However! Do YOU have something to add to Pinochan? I have no idea how popular this offer will be, but if you have a project like the ones you've seen here that requires hosting, feel free to shoot me an email and we'll see if we can get something worked out. Or if you've seen something on kareha which I've said I was going to develop and never did and you want to take a crack at it... well, you get the idea. Full credit, a place on the staff page if you like, all that jazz of course.
