I like the twitter feed, but I have an idea: it'd be great if all the featured images were added to an RSS feed containing the date posted, the image source, and the image URL, and then use a program such as http://twitterfeed.com/ to go and automatically post to twitter under the overbooru account. It would save you the trouble of updating manually, but, of course, it would mean that an RSS feed system would need to be created (and that would mean the image of the day page would probably be turned into a dynamic page and so on..)

As well, if there was an RSS feed of all the featured images, though, you could have a script like the random image script on Shimmie that would display the featured image of the day and people could make it a sort of dynamic desktop wallpaper :)

I use the Twitter system I described above myself to show the last 2 images uploaded every 2 hours on my booru (for a live example, follow the link in my username).

I am not the main person in control of the site Nidas is so I couldn't do it personally (I don't think , 4am can't think whether it would or not) but I think it may bit a little complicated for a once-a-day image , would be really worth it if it was more of a active (like your once every 2 hours), I don't really know ^^;;

I will talk to Nidas about the idea and hopefully alert him to this (or he will find this on his own before probably) and see what he thinks about this.
