may I suggest you to change something in the overbooru?
I would replace
<b onclick="toggle('gen')">General</b> *
with
<b onclick="toggle('gen')"><a href="#" style="text-decoration:none">General</a></b> *
That wouldn't change the look of the sidebar, but would change the cursor, making the overbooru more intuitive (maybe).

Wouldn't adding the cursor attribute be easier? Or did you mean use a href so it changes the colours too? I've added the cursor attribute to the css of the main Overbooru and uploaded an a href version here:

It'd be better to use javascript:void(0) for the href. That makes the window not scroll. href="#" is from the 90's...
Just a couple of issues I found with Overbooru:
First, a little edit needed on the info page: danbooru does still host mature content but it is only accessible to members.
I also noticed that the link to the original danbooru in the 'general' section links to miezaru.donmai.us rather than danbooru.donmai.us. While the miezaru version seems to be a mirror of danbooru, shouldn't the link be direct to danbooru? Miezaru also does not retain the same cookies as danbooru (i.e. whilst being logged into danbooru, I am not on miezaru unless I log in separately there).
I hope this helps a little.
And if it turns out I'm completely wrong about any of this then I'm sorry :).

Updated info page :) I dunno what to do about the two danbooru links though. Thanks to people using different bookmarks and such, whichever we go with there's going to be some people using one and some using the other, so cookies are always going to be an issue (unless rq ever officially axes one of them of course). Originally I used Miezaru because back then danbooru.donmai was just a splash page with a rapidshit of the source code so Miezaru has just grandfathered over more than anything else. So err... I dunno lol. Opinions? danbooru does seem to be the "official" one again but does anyone actually know if either is significantly more popular than the other?
From what I can tell they're exactly the same, same images, everything. Maybe linking to danbooru.donmai.us would be better if only because it's the original.

Though I don't know if I'm having problems or not, but nothing's changed for me, not even the info page update. Is this at my end?
Update: the danbooru link is now working though the info page is still the same.
It's your end yeah, it's most likely that your browser cache hasn't updated yet. Either that or you just missed it :P It's only the one line which was changed on the info page.
If it's still not working, try forcing the cache to update. This can be done in any number of ways, but the easiest is probably to just to go http://pinochan.net/overbooru/info.html directly and press ctrl-f5 for Windows or shift-cmd-r if you're a macfag like me :)

I also noticed (yes, another one) that on the index panel all the categories are now fixed open. Though I personally prefer it this way, it's not my end again is it?
It is your end again yeah :P Installed anything that might mess with java lately? I know there's a few fox plugins that do that for instance. Can't think what else it would be off the top of my head :/
Yeah I think it was the No Script plugin I recently installed blocking the java, but it's all fixed now. I should really stop pestering you with all this :P.

Anyway, back when the Overbooru first started out there was a table version similar to, though obviously not as extensive as, 4chan's new front page, which I guess is what you mean. It was pretty much a booru version of the Overchan. That got scrapped when the sidebar was brought in since I found the sidebar simply more intuitive for browsing multiple boards. At the time, the Overbooru had substantially less traffic than it has now so I didn't really ask for anyones opinions before axing it :/ I guess I could revive the table page for people who prefer that kind of thing, but would anyone actually use it? /musing
So yeah, I'll try and throw something together over the weekend

Good to hear(see,lol) that. I just found it and i thought it was quite a nice project but seeing the announcement dates and infrequent postings made me feel as if one of my favorite anime had ended(before it had even begun).

I've noticed that when trying to login to Shimmie sites in the Overbooru, you submit the log in form, but are still anonymous. The only way to log in is by viewing the page directly, and not in a frame. Possible bug?
